🏭 Attendance and Payroll Software for a Plastic Moulding Factory
A plastic moulding unit runs on shifts, machines and operators, and wages often depend on how many good pieces each operator produces. When attendance sits in one register, output in another and advances in a third, payroll errors are almost certain. LabourFlow ERP brings attendance, machine-wise production, scrap and payroll onto one platform so the wage sheet is built from records, not from guesswork.
Why moulding units find payroll difficult
Injection and blow moulding units usually run two or three shifts, including night shifts. Operators may be paid daily, monthly or per piece, and helpers may be supplied by a contractor. Mixing these models in Excel is slow and easy to get wrong.
Machine breakdowns, mould changes, rejected shots and scrap also affect what an operator should be paid. If these are not logged on the day, they turn into arguments at month end.
Attendance capture that fits shop-floor reality
LabourFlow ERP offers several ways to record attendance so you can choose what suits each gate or section.
- QR kiosk and badge scan at the gate using worker ID cards with QR badges
- Manual entry or Excel bulk entry for supervisors who need it
- Multiple shifts and night shifts supported
- Leave and overtime approvals before they reach payroll
- GPS-geofenced mobile punch where relevant, with workers shown a notice before location tracking starts
Machine, shift and operator-wise output
The production module tracks output by factory, department, shift, machine and operator. Supervisors fill a daily grid, and rejection and scrap can be logged against the same entry. Offline mode with background sync helps where network at the shop floor is weak.
For piece-rate work, the 3-way calculation keeps the customer price, the worker rate and the contractor margin separate. For example, if a customer pays ₹5 a piece, the worker rate is ₹3 and the margin is the difference, the system can show each figure for every approved entry. These numbers are only an illustration.
Common payroll mistakes and how software helps avoid them
These are mistakes we often see in factories running on registers and spreadsheets. Software reduces the chance of them, but you still need to review and approve the data.
- Output counted twice or missed: one daily grid per shift and machine
- Advances forgotten at month end: daily advances with automatic deductions
- Overtime paid without approval: approval step before payroll
- Mixed wage models in one sheet: piece-rate, daily and monthly wages in hybrid payroll
- Scrap disputes: rejection and scrap logged on the day
- Slow, error-prone payouts: bulk bank or UPI payouts via RazorpayX
Payslips, payouts and records
Payslips can be printed or shared on WhatsApp. Bulk bank or UPI payouts are made through RazorpayX from your own RazorpayX account; LabourFlow ERP does not hold your money. Worker details such as Aadhaar (shown masked) and bank information sit behind role-based access, and should be collected with the worker's consent.
Minimum wages, PF, ESI, overtime and other labour-law rules differ by state and change over time. Please confirm your settings with a labour-law consultant or CA.
Frequently asked questions
Can it handle both piece-rate and daily-wage operators?
Yes. LabourFlow ERP supports piece-rate, daily and monthly wage models, and hybrid payroll can combine them in one payroll run.
Can we track scrap and rejection by machine?
Yes. Production can be tracked by machine, shift and operator, and rejection and scrap can be logged with the entries.
Does it work if the network is poor on the shop floor?
The supervisor daily grid has an offline mode with background sync, so entries can be saved and synced later.
What is the price?
Pricing depends on the number of workers and modules you use; ask us for a quote.
