Birthday party RSVP on WhatsApp

Send the party invitation to every family on WhatsApp with three buttons. When a parent taps "Yes, coming", WhatsApp asks how many people are coming and how many of them are kids, so you know the cake size, the food and the number of return gifts before the day.

Why birthday counts go wrong

Party invitations travel through class groups and forwarded cards, and answers come back as "we'll try" in five different chats. Siblings come along, a parent stays, a friend brings a cousin. A written answer per family, with how many kids and adults, is what the venue and the caterer need.

How it works

  1. Create a "Birthday party" event with the date, time and venue (home, play area or restaurant).
  2. Add the families: paste names and numbers from the class list or your phone. Set "people" to how many may come on each invitation, for example 3 for a child with two parents.
  3. Press Send. Each family gets a personal WhatsApp invitation with three buttons.
  4. WhatsApp asks how many are coming and veg or non-veg. Parents can also say how many are kids on their invitation page.
  5. Your dashboard shows coming, maybe, can't come and no reply, with kids counted separately.

Questions

Can parents answer for more than one child?

Yes. The invitation is for the family; they say how many people are coming and how many of them are kids.

Do parents need an app?

No. They tap a button in WhatsApp or open their personal invitation page.

What does a small party cost?

The Starter pack, ₹99 for 25 invitations (GST included), covers most birthday parties; preparing the guest list costs nothing.
